Cayman Islands Tourism & Visitor Guide
Welcome to Cayman Islands!
With ample sunshine, pristine beaches, palm trees and turquoise waters, it is no wonder that the Cayman Islands are often referred to as “little pieces of paradise". Located in the western Caribbean, 772 km (480 mi) south of Miami, the Cayman Islands, a British Overseas Territory is made up of three islands. The largest of the islands is Grand Cayman with an area of about 197 sq km (76 sq mi). Some towns to visit on this island include East End, George Town and West Bay.
A popular attraction on Grand Cayman is North Sound, a reef protected lagoon that is an ideal spot for snorkeling. Cayman Brac is the second largest island of the three with an area of about 36 sq km (14 sq mi). This island is approximately 143 km (89 mi) northeast of Grand Cayman. Cayman Brac features an impressive bluff made of a large central limestone outcrop that rises steadily along the island. Some towns to visit here include Stake Bay and West End. The smallest of the islands, yet still impressively scenic, is the aptly named Little Cayman, which has an area of about 26 sq km (10 sq mi). Little Cayman is situated 8 km (5 mi) west of Cayman Brac. All three islands offer a tropical marine climate and natural attractions, as well as ample recreational opportunities such as swimming, sailing, fishing, golfing and scuba diving.
